26 September 2014 | Verenigd Koninkrijk, Bath
After walking around the Crescent for a while, me and Paul headed for Victoria Park, which is a huge recreational area. Bath itself doesn't have many patches of green, almost the entire city is made out of stone with a few small parks here and there, but Victoria park is big and beautiful, and it really shows its colours now that fall is here. There are big chestnuts that can be found on the ground and squirrels walking around the trees.
However, the main attraction of Victoria Park is the Botanical Gardens. It hosts a great variety of plants, trees and bushes and is a true sight to see. No wonder, since the English are famous for their gardening, it's still exciting to see how all these different flora and fauna manage to survive in the environment they've been put in here in Bath. Especially when you consider where all the plants originally grow. I'm no plant expert, but I did recognize a palm tree and some American trees as well growing within the Gardens.
On our way back I found out where the Jane Austin centre can be found, which I'm going to use for one of the assignments for Cult5. So that will be quite exciting.
Tomorrow me and Paul and maybe Marzia too, she's another helper working here at the hostel, plan on walking to Bristol and I'm looking forward to that.
